Middleton, Wisconsin – June 18, 2018 – Veridt, a leader in enabling access control solutions, has developed state of the are wireless communications for connecting to existing access controls systems. Veridt’s design combines Zigbee’s low power digital radio integrated with its proven EWAC communications interface to create a cost effective proven approach to wireless solutions for secure access.
Zigbee is an IEEE 802.15.4-based specification for high-level communication protocols; it’s a wireless language that everyday devices use to connect to one another.
Using 2.4 GHz point to point the device transmits to the base station co-located at the access control panel and consists of Veridt EWAC secure module and Veridt designed Zigbee unit. The EWAC secure communications module includes three communications interfaces: Wiegand, Serial RS-485 and Ethernet. Enables “two-way” communication between reader and server. Existing PACS hardware and standard Wiegand is maintained to complete the authentication process and grant access. Enables path validation and certificate revocation checking using CRL, OCSP

“OPEN PACS EMBEDDED”, a managed cost approach to upgrading existing PACS infrastructure to a FICAM compliant solution
Middleton, Wisconsin – June 21, 2018 – Veridt, a leader in High assurance access solutions for government and industry, introduces “OPEN PACS EMBEDDED”, a managed cost approach to upgrading existing PACS infrastructure to a FICAM compliant solution. It can be added to virtually any PACS system, eliminating the need for “rip and replace”. It’s a “PACS” independent FICAM Solution which controls up to eight readers in a very compact 5 by 10 inch single-board footprint co-locating at the panel with imbedded Linus on-board.
It provides local certificate authentication at the panel with ongoing certificate validation and status updates. PACS “plug-in” software connection provides connection to any PACS system. High Assurance Reader Service (HARS) provides optimized high-speed communications connecting key software elements for high assurance authentication.? ? Server status (on-line / off-line) does not impact authentication mode (1-, 2-, or 3- factor) locally.
The solution conforms to FICAM FRTC 1.3.3 and out performs OSDP embedded solutions for “time-to-access”.
Veridt develops, designs and manufactures a family of products serving the High Assurance Identity and Access Management market that enable the credential and access critical data on the credential (digital certificates and biometrics).
