Middleton, Wisconsin – June 18, 2018? – Veridt, a leader in enabling access control solutions, has developed state of the are wireless communications for connecting to existing access controls systems. Veridt’s design combines Zigbee’s low power digital radio integrated with its proven EWAC communications interface to create a cost effective proven approach to wireless solutions for secure access.

Zigbee is an IEEE 802.15.4-based specification for high-level communication protocols; it’s a wireless language that everyday devices use to connect to one another.

Using 2.4 GHz point to point the device transmits to the base station co-located at the access control panel and consists of Veridt EWAC secure module and Veridt designed Zigbee unit. The EWAC secure communications module includes three communications interfaces: Wiegand, Serial RS-485 and Ethernet. Enables “two-way” communication between reader and server. Existing PACS hardware and standard Wiegand is maintained to complete the authentication process and grant access. Enables path validation and certificate revocation checking using CRL, OCSP
