A History of Innovation and Versatility
Over twenty years ago Veridt was developing biometric based readers using a 250-byte fingerprint template contained in a two-dimensional barcode on a card. Reader developments continued in parallel with the evolution of smart card technology, in the early days of DoD CAC at DMDC, pre-TWIC with the Florida Uniform Port Access Credential (FUPAC) mandated by State for the Florida ports and the TWIC initiative by TSA & Coast Guard regulated under MTSA.
In the post 911 era, smartcard & credential reader developments continued throughout the decade. In 2004, HSPD-12 issued by President Bush, mandated an agency-wide secure ID card (PIV) for logical and physical access. As the program continued to evolve, Veridt was there every step-of-the-way on the forefront of innovation and development of capabilities to meet those demands.
Today, Veridt’s engineering & support lab features 16 fully operational PACS solutions for 9 PACS manufacturers providing comprehensive partner and customer support for FICAM and related use cases. PACS Systems include Software House, Lenel, Honeywell, Identiv-Freedom, Identiv-Velocity, AMAG, Gallagher, Galaxy, Genetec and P-2000, operating in concert with a variety of high assurance validation services, including HID pivCLASS, Technology Industries Entrypoint & Identity One FIPSlink.
Proud to be “MADE IN THE USA,” Veridt products are designed, developed & manufactured in Middleton, Wisconsin in partnership with local vendors, truly putting into practice the “Buy American” spirit.
